Q, Do
I need to be fit to start?
A, No all the training is targeted
to work to the individuals own level of fitness, this method will help you progress
quickly and soon after starting Tae Kwon Do you will see personal improvements
in fitness and flexibility.
Q, Will
I need a suit to start?
A, No I don’t push my students into buying suits(doboks) until I’m sure they
are going to stay about 10 weeks into the classes.
Q, What
do I wear if not a suit?
A, Something loose you can
move about in, tracksuit, jogging bottoms or shorts and a T-shirt will be fine.
Q, Do
I have to pay a membership fee?
A, No eventually you will
need a licence, as this is a legal requirement and your own insurance cover.
Q, What
age can I train at?
A, You can start from about 7 years of age up, my youngest student is 6 and
my oldest is 58.
Q, Will
I get hurt when I fight or do self defence moves?
A, No all the sparring is semi contact in Tae Kwon Do which means the kicks
and punches are pulled to make them safe, all the self defence moves are strictly
controlled as they are very effective.
Q, How
much will it cost and how often do I need to train?
A, £4.00 a lesson, or a monthly fee of £25 this allows you to train at any of
my 2 clubs 4 nights a week. To get the most from Tae Kwon Do you should train
2 times per week.
